Junior Citizen is a programme designed to deliver training and education to children to help them appropriately deal with a range of situations they may find themselves in in their lives.
It is funded through the Cumbria Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.

Junior Citizen is a programme designed to deliver training and education to children to help them appropriately deal with a range of situations they may find themselves in in their lives.

The programme, designed in partnership between Cumbria Police and the Fire Service will be held at:

Ulverston: 12th and 14th March

Windermere: 10th and 11th June
-
Grange: 12th June
-
Barrow in Furness: 16th - 27th June

IThe content for these sessions will be provided by Cumbria Constabularyand the Fire service, CADAS (Cumbria Drug and Alcohol Service), Network Rail and the National Farmers Union.
​
The event is aimed at year 6 pupils and around 20 schools and almost 300 children will attend in total.

Home and fire safety , with use of virtual reality headsets

Alcohol, vape and drug misuse

Dangers of trespassing on railways
