1-1 addiction support for adults in Cumbria

SERVICES

CADAS Recovery Coaching strives to bring behavioural change through one-to-one sessions with our own specialist, qualified coaches. We do not contract out services to other organisations, but we will suggest that you contact a different service if we are unable to help.

These sessions are currently delivered online and will help the client come to  understand the reasons behind their actions and look for ways to manage their behaviour so that it no longer has a negative impact on their lives and the lives of others.

We focus on additive behaviour related to Alcohol, Drugs and Gambling but our team is constantly expanding and upskilling and will soon be able to help with:

  • Smoking

  • Vaping

  • Gaming

  • Mobile phone addiction

Adult Behaviour Management

CADAS offers adults  confidential One to One support with expert, qualified health coaches. They will meet with you on a regular basis for a period of six to eight weeks, depending on your needs.

Together, you will work out achievable stages to aim for and your coach will create a programme of support to help you change your behaviour.

Young People

CADAS offers One to One support to young people with a qualified and vetted coach.

In most of these cases, other adults will know that we are supporting the young person but we believe young people require privacy and we promise to respect their choices while keeping their safety s top priority.

Supporting young people can be complicated for a number of reasons. Most of these relate to consent, safeguarding and good practice requiring a multi-agency approach.

Sometimes, young people do not feel that there is a problem with their behaviour - it is adults that have the problem!

We can also offer separate support to those affected by addictive behaviour such as Mums and Dads for example.

Family, Friends and Colleagues

It's not unusual for us to be contacted by a family member, friend or colleague who is worried about someone. We can help by suggesting ways to persuade the person in question to come to us in a positive and safe manner because every client must choose to refer themselves to us for help.

The stresses and anxiety of living with someone who is an addict can have lasting negative effects on relationships.

We can help with One to One support and also offer group support opportunities.
