At CADAS, we are committed to reducing harmful addiction across Cumbria. Much of Cumbria is rural and we understand the difficulties faced by people wanting to access help and advice in more isolated communities. We offer support to those who are affected by addiction in the Mid-Copeland area and if you are struggling, we are here to provide a listening ear and support you along your recovery journey.
CADAS in Mid-Copeland
Addiction affects people of all walks of life and CADAS provides support for individuals, family members and carers by offering virtual or in person 1-2-1 recovery support, peer support groups and drop-in sessions.
At CADAS it is important to us that we take the time to understand the challenges you are facing, and we often help clients uncover the reasons for their substance use and help them to find more effective ways to manage their mental health.

Who are CADAS?
We are a charity committed to reducing harmful addiction across Cumbria. We offer support and guidance for all ages surrounding substance use and addiction whether it be alcohol, drug or gambling related. We are here to support adults, young people, family & friends and workplaces when it comes to tackling addiction issues.
Where is CADAS based?
CADAS help people across Cumbria. This includes the Mid-Copeland area stretching from Seascale to Gosforth, Beckermet, Calderbridge, Hail, Thornhill, Nethertown and Braystones and the surrounding rural areas as well as Egremont.
Is CADAS free?
CADAS offers a free helpline service with experienced and qualified coaches for those struggling with addiction.
How can CADAS help me?
If you need to talk to someone about how an addiction is affecting you, we are here to help. A CADAS Recovery Coach will work with you to uncover reasons for your addiction help you find safer, healthier ways of living. The CADAS team prioritise listening without judgement and are here to support you in what you want to achieve.
