The project will be based in Carlisle, covered by Carlisle and Eden District council and Carlisle city council. It will improve the health of local people who are damaging themselves with drink or drugs. It will provide training for local people including ex users to up skill themselves, improve their self-awareness, confidence and communication skills not only to help others live a more resourceful life but help themselves in terms of employment and further education and training.
- We will recruit and train volunteers to deliver Drug and Alcohol 1-1 sessions
- We will recruit and train community ambassadors to help promote cadas’s free services
- We deliver free Drug and Alcohol awareness training to local communities in Carlisle.
- We offer family conflict mediation support to improve communication and relationships between families.
- We will also be delivering talks to communities to raise awareness of the big lottery fund and the Carlisle Project.
